Cyprus – Enchanting turquoise Water and long sandy Beaches

The Republic of Cyprus is the third largest island in the Mediterranean Sea and is located south of Turkey, west of Syria and Lebanon, northwest of Israel and Palestine, north of Egypt, and east of Greece. On the 240 kilometers, long island live approximately 1.2 million people with the official languages being Greek and Turkish due to the division into Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot societies.

Cyprus has the largest number of sunny days in the Mediterranean. It receives up to 13 hours of sun a day during the summer with an average temperature in the summer months of 25 degrees. Many breathtaking beaches are located on the island and make a vacation here unforgettable. Check out, for instance, Konnos Bay, Bay of Aphrodite and Coral Bay.

On top of the fantastic beaches, a vacation in Cyprus can be described as a culinary feast. The cuisine on the island is heavily influenced by Turkish, Greek and Middle Eastern food cultures and offers goodies like Meze including creamy hummus, kebabs, halloumi, and grilled sausages. But the best are the desserts: Cyprus offers anything for everyone: from tasty baklava to nut-flavored rice puddings and cakes.

Thus, Cyprus is not just the perfect island for everyone who enjoys relaxed beach days and incredibly delicious food but also for people who are interested in culture and history.
