Copenhagen, 2017. One of WorldTicket’s main challenges is to follow the new industry standards determined by the key industry players. In 2017 one of the most important topics was the new standard for processing of passenger data to National Passenger Information Units (PIU).
Since 2017, all airlines in the EU have to hand over PNR data, i.e. information provided by passengers, collected during reservation and check-in procedures. The main reason for this data transfer is the dramatic growth in passenger numbers and transnational organized crime.
The chosen EU standard is PNRGOV messages by IATA, which WorldTicket has implemented and launched during 2017. We offer qualitative support for our customer airlines by implementing PNRGOV into their systems, to ensure the required data transfer to the PUIs.
